Saudi Red Sea Authority unveils digital guide to organize coastal tourism

The Saudi Red Sea Authority has launched the Introductory Guide to Coastal Tourism Activities, a new digital reference platform designed to centralize information, regulations, and procedures related to coastal tourism across the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The digital guide aims to simplify requirements for tourists, investors, and operators by providing a single gateway to updated rules, conditions, and application processes. Through smart links, users are directed to official platforms of relevant government entities, reducing processing times and enabling a more integrated and reliable digital experience. The platform also includes frequently asked questions and advisory notes outlining permitted and prohibited activities.

The first phase of the guide focuses on yachting activities, detailing the full journey of a yacht from arrival to departure. It outlines documentation requirements, licensing procedures, port-of-entry coordination through licensed agents, and provides lists of approved maritime tourism service providers, including yacht charter companies and marinas.

In addition, the guide highlights safety requirements, environmental sustainability guidelines, and mechanisms for submitting feedback and complaints. The authority noted that the platform will be updated regularly to remain aligned with current regulations.

Officials said the initiative reflects close coordination between the Saudi Red Sea Authority and partner entities, supporting the growth of coastal tourism, enhancing investment opportunities, and contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
