Zain Bahrain named most awarded network at MWC 2026 with multiple Opensignal wins

Zain Bahrain has been recognised at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2026 as the most awarded network in Bahrain, securing multiple accolades from Opensignal for network performance.

The operator received a total of 10 awards, including top recognition for coverage, quality, and overall gaming experience in the Kingdom, based on Opensignal’s Mobile Network Experience Awards. Additional awards covered key performance areas such as upload speeds, video experience, and voice app performance, reinforcing Zain’s positioning across multiple service dimensions.

The recognition reflects sustained investment in network expansion and modernisation, with Zain accelerating the rollout and upgrade of its 4G and 5G infrastructure. These efforts are aimed at enhancing both mobile and fixed broadband services while enabling advanced use cases and integrated digital solutions for consumers, enterprises, and government entities.

Zain Bahrain’s performance has also contributed to Bahrain achieving the number one overall rank in Opensignal’s Global Network Excellence Index for the MENA region across all devices.

The development highlights increasing competition among operators in advanced markets, where performance metrics such as speed, latency, and user experience are critical differentiators.
