Kuwait and Qatar Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in AI and Digital Technology at AI Action Summit

Kuwait’s Communications Minister, Omar Al-Omar, and Qatar’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammad Al-Mannai, met on Monday to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of communications, digital technology, and artificial intelligence. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit on Artificial Intelligence held in Paris.

During the discussion, both ministers explored future opportunities to further develop their partnership and support digital transformation efforts while boosting innovation in the region. Al-Omar emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening regional and global development in the communications and technology sectors, highlighting the importance of AI technology in advancing sustainable development and modernizing digital solutions.

Al-Mannai expressed his appreciation for the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and underscored the significance of exchanging capabilities to meet future goals for their nations’ benefit. He also noted that the AI Action Summit, which brings together global experts, is an important platform for discussing AI’s impact on economies and societies and for strengthening international cooperation in this vital field.

Minister Al-Omar, representing His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, was among approximately 100 world leaders attending the summit, alongside a thousand civil society and private sector representatives.
