Dubai, UAE: du, the leading telecom and digital services provider, has announced a strategic partnership with PEACE Cable International Network Co. Limited (PEACE) to extend the PEACE Cable System into the UAE and Gulf region. This collaboration aims to advance digital transformation and connectivity for du’s Wholesale and Enterprise customers by utilizing the high-capacity PEACE Cable infrastructure.
The agreement includes the landing of the PEACE Cable in the UAE, an open-access submarine cable system designed to offer ultra-high-speed, secure, and resilient connections. This extension will enhance du’s network performance and managed services across the region. Additionally, the construction of a new branch, the PEACE Gulf Extension, will connect the UAE to the PEACE Cable’s existing trunk segment, creating a broader network that spans over 22,000 km across three continents.
Karim Benkirane, Chief Commercial Officer at du, emphasized that the investment in the PEACE Cable aligns with du’s vision of elevating the UAE’s global connectivity status. He added that this partnership will bring substantial economic and digital benefits, ensuring unmatched reliability and value for du’s customers. “We are proud to contribute to the UAE’s goal of becoming a leading digital and AI hub and strengthening our role in regional connectivity through exclusive ownership of the cable landing in the UAE,” said Benkirane.

The partnership, expected to be Ready For Service (RFS) by the second half of 2026, marks a significant advancement in regional digital infrastructure.
