On Tuesday, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Telecommunications Corporation (GTC), Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mahdi, along with the Secretary General of the Local Council in Ibb province, Amin Ali Al-Warafi, inaugurated the VIP sales and service lounge in Ibb city.
The opening ceremony was attended by Yemen Mobile Chairman Dr. Essam Al-Hamli, who listened to a presentation by Muhyiddin Al-Mansouri, Director General of the Telecommunications Corporation’s branch in Ibb province, about the advanced equipment installed in the lounge to provide comprehensive services to VIP customers.
Minister Al-Mahdi explained that the purpose of his visit was to review the progress of several telecommunications projects aimed at expanding services in the province’s central areas and districts. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to delivering all necessary telecommunications services to the province, which is experiencing significant population growth.
Al-Mahdi also visited the construction site of Yemen Mobile’s main service center in Ibb city, stressing the importance of adhering to the technical specifications and timelines to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project. He underlined the project’s significance in improving services for local residents.
