Kazakhstan and Nigeria are deepening their cooperation in digital technology, investment, and business development following a series of discussions between government officials and business leaders, as reported by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 26.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov met with Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, to explore opportunities in e-government, fintech, and space technology. Both parties agreed to pursue joint initiatives in the digital sector.
In addition, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Algeria, Anuarbek Akhmetov, and representatives from the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirmed their commitment to facilitating market access and supporting joint ventures between Kazakh and Nigerian companies. The discussions between entrepreneurs from both countries aim to expand trade and collaboration, focusing on sectors like energy, mining, finance, transport, logistics, and agriculture.
