Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona under the theme “Converge, Connect, Create.” During his visit, Smeirat held a series of meetings with international counterparts and representatives from leading global ICT companies to discuss enhancing cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and 5G networks.
The discussions focused on fostering digital innovation in Jordan, building strategic partnerships with top global companies, and boosting the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for technological innovation. Smeirat emphasized the importance of investing in Jordanian talent to create more job opportunities in the technology sector, support startups, and empower entrepreneurs.
