Nepal Telecom (NTC) has launched 4G services in Gurans Rural Municipality, Dailekh, on Baisakh 08, 2082. The service provides high-speed mobile data and VoLTE, enhancing connectivity in remote areas of the Karnali province. This launch is part of NTC’s ongoing expansion to bring 4G to rural and underserved regions.
The 4G coverage is available in wards 1, 2, and 3 of Gurans Rural Municipality, including Gurans Bazar, the Rural Municipality Office area, and nearby locations like Goganpani and Patikanla. Additionally, areas such as Bayalkada and Lekgaun have also received the newly-launched 4G service.
Previously reliant on older technologies, local residents can now enjoy faster internet browsing, HD voice calling through VoLTE, and better overall mobile service. Kamal Lamichhane, Director of NTC’s Provincial Directorate, Surkhet, highlighted the transformative impact of the 4G expansion on sectors like education, health, and information access.
NTC’s 4G coverage now reaches nearly 99% of local levels in Nepal, and its FTTH service, NT Fiber, is available across all 77 districts, including remote areas like Dolpa and Humla.
