Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus announced the launch of the “Labbaik” mobile app, designed to provide essential services to Hajj pilgrims, ensuring they can perform their religious duties smoothly. The app, developed under government management for the first time, was inaugurated at the state guest house Jamuna.
The “Labbaik” app offers a variety of features, including emergency support, weather updates, flight information, location tracking, and accommodation details. Prof Yunus urged pilgrims to utilize the app, emphasizing its role in providing health services and assisting in fulfilling religious obligations without difficulty.
Meanwhile, Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ first Hajj flight, carrying 419 passengers, is scheduled to depart from Dhaka airport at around 3:00 am today, according to Bushra Islam, general manager of public relations at Biman. The Ministry of Religious Affairs reports that 87,100 pilgrims from Bangladesh have registered for Hajj this year. The pilgrimage is expected to take place on June 5, depending on the sighting of the moon.
