SINGER Sri Lanka, the country’s leading consumer durables retailer, has partnered with Hutch, a key telecom service provider, to offer expanded mobile connectivity through SINGER’s retail network. Customers will now be able to purchase HUTCH SIM cards at 410 SINGER showrooms across Sri Lanka, with instant activation when buying a mobile phone.

The partnership aims to enhance the customer shopping experience by integrating mobile connectivity into the retail process. In addition to purchasing SIM cards, customers can also upgrade to 4G or 5G smartphones at discounted rates, along with specially curated HUTCH data packages.

Mahesh Wijewardene, Managing Director of Singer Group, highlighted the initiative’s significance, noting that the integration of mobile connectivity into their retail experience ensures customers not only leave with the latest smartphones but also have immediate access to reliable network services. The partnership supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance smartphone adoption and improve digital connectivity within Sri Lanka.

Hutch’s CEO, Saumitra Gupta, emphasized that partnering with SINGER allows them to bring HUTCH’s services closer to consumers through a well-established retail network. This collaboration aims to provide seamless connectivity and access to high-quality mobile services for customers across Sri Lanka.

Both companies are committed to advancing digital inclusion and improving the daily lives of Sri Lankans through enhanced mobile connectivity solutions.
