AIUB Student Sauda Musharrat Wins Digital Bangladesh Award for Innovative Healthcare Essay

Sauda Musharrat, a student of the Computer Engineering Department at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), has been honored with the prestigious Digital Bangladesh Award at a prize-giving ceremony held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka.

She received the award for her essay titled “Vision 2041: An Affordable Real-time Patient Monitoring System for Underprivileged Hospitals,” developed under the supervision of Dr. Kamruddin Nur, Associate Professor of the Computer Science Department at AIUB. The essay highlights a practical and innovative approach to improving healthcare access for disadvantaged communities.

The nationwide essay competition, themed “Bangladesh in 41 Years,” was organized by the Access to Information (a2i) Programme Innovation Lab to encourage university students to share ideas for the country’s future development.

The ceremony was attended by key government leaders, including Mustafa Jabbar, Minister of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology; Md Nojibur Rahman, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister; Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs); Zuena Aziz, Secretary of the ICT Division; and AKM Khairul Alam, Director General of the ICT Department. Their presence underscored the importance of youth innovation in driving Bangladesh’s vision for 2041.
