Algiers – September 30, 2025 – Algeria’s Minister of Post and Wire and Wireless Transport, Syed Ali Zarouqi, visited the headquarters of the Algerian Company for Information and Communications Technology (SATICOM), a subsidiary of Algeria Telecommunications Corporation, as part of ongoing field engagements with key sector stakeholders.
During the inspection, SATICOM officials showcased the company’s portfolio of services and technical solutions designed for public institutions and government administration. The Minister also toured the company’s Data Center and IP Multimedia Subsystem Center, critical components of Algeria Telecommunications’ digital infrastructure.
Minister Zarouqi emphasized the importance of fostering research, development, and open innovation to strengthen Algeria’s digital ecosystem. He called for an expansion of SATICOM’s activities to meet growing national demand and ensure readiness for the rollout of 5G services by mobile operators.
The visit underlines Algeria’s broader strategy to promote local digital solutions, support national industry, and reinforce the country’s digital sovereignty. By advancing innovation and technological resilience, the government aims to prepare Algeria’s communications sector for the next phase of digital transformation.
