du and Aqaba Digital Hub Partner to Strengthen Regional Digital Connectivity

AMMAN — UAE-based digital and ICT leader du has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aqaba Digital Hub (ADH), Jordan’s largest carrier-neutral, Tier III-certified data centre, to establish a strategic presence within ADH’s open-access ecosystem in Aqaba. The partnership marks a major step in expanding du’s regional footprint and advancing digital transformation across the Middle East.

The collaboration will create a digital bridge linking the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Levant, Asia, and Europe, establishing resilient, low-latency corridors that enhance cross-border data connectivity. ADH will serve as the western anchor through its Cable Landing Station in Aqaba, while du will extend eastern connectivity via its two submarine cable landing stations connecting to Asia.

The initiative will deliver greater network diversity, reduced latency, and higher resilience for carriers, enterprises, and institutions. Customers will gain access to alternative routing options, moving beyond traditional connectivity pathways to more robust, future-ready solutions.

Eyad Abu Khorma, Founder and CEO of ADH, said: “This partnership strengthens Aqaba’s position as a neutral gateway for global and regional networks. Together with du, we’re laying the groundwork for resilient digital corridors that will connect continents and drive regional growth.”

Saleem AlBlooshi, Chief Technology Officer at du, emphasized that the partnership is a milestone in building next-generation digital infrastructure. “By leveraging our international backbone and Asian gateways with ADH’s carrier-neutral infrastructure, we are creating unprecedented connectivity options that serve the Gulf, Levant, Asia, and Europe,” he said.

The agreement aligns with du’s broader vision to support regional digital transformation and connectivity resilience, while reinforcing ADH’s role as a neutral meeting point for global networks. Together, the two organizations aim to position Jordan at the heart of the Middle East’s emerging digital corridors and enable a more interconnected and sustainable digital economy.
