UAE telecom operator du has expanded its Nvidia-powered AI supercluster in partnership with NextGenAI, increasing total capacity to 13+ megawatts (MW) — more than double its original setup. The move underscores the UAE’s growing role as a hub for advanced AI infrastructure and innovation.
Located at du’s Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) data centre, the enhanced supercluster leverages Nvidia B300 GPUs to deliver unprecedented computational performance for enterprise and research AI workloads. It also introduces direct-to-chip liquid cooling, which improves energy efficiency and sustains optimal performance under intensive compute operations.
Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, said the expansion ensures the company is well-positioned to “anticipate and shape the computational requirements of tomorrow’s AI-driven economy.”
Mohamed Taha, Executive VP at NextGenAI, emphasized the collaboration’s broader impact: “Together, du’s infrastructure and our AI capabilities create an ecosystem where businesses can scale their AI ambitions rapidly, without infrastructure limitations.”
Unveiled during GITEX Global 2025, the announcement coincided with du’s launch of two new sovereign AI initiatives — the AI Park in Dubai, which will include multiple hyperscale data centres delivering up to 1GW of capacity by 2030, and the National Hybrid AI platform, offering secure, scalable AI development environments for enterprises and government entities.
