RIYADH – October 27, 2025: Kosovo is seeking to deepen its partnership with Saudi Arabia through technology, innovation, and investment cooperation, President Vjosa Osmani said in an exclusive interview with Arab News during her visit to Riyadh for the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII).
Speaking ahead of the global forum — known as the “Davos of the Desert” — Osmani emphasized that the event provides “a valuable opportunity to open new chapters of cooperation” between Kosovo and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the fields of digital innovation, education, and cultural exchange.
“We feel very blessed with the bilateral relations that we have with Saudi Arabia,” Osmani said. “It is one of the countries that supported the people of Kosovo during the darkest hour in our history, and has stood by us every step of the way as we moved forward into freedom, independence, and prosperity.”
Osmani expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s historic support for Kosovo, while noting that the next phase of collaboration will focus on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and AI-driven economic growth — areas that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Kosovo’s Digital Agenda for Kosovo (DAK) 2030.
She added that Kosovo aims to leverage Saudi expertise in innovation ecosystems, smart infrastructure, and tech investment to build a stronger, more connected economy.
The President also called for expanded people-to-people exchanges, including youth programs, cultural partnerships, and educational collaborations, to foster mutual understanding and long-term growth.
As Saudi Arabia accelerates its leadership in digital transformation and AI development, Kosovo’s renewed engagement signals a shared vision for innovation-led progress — one that bridges Southeast Europe and the Middle East through technology, knowledge, and partnership.
