Abu Dhabi — In a major step toward sustainable digital transformation, NEC and e& have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic framework for collaboration on environmental innovation, social inclusion, and ESG governance.
The agreement, signed between NEC’s GCC branch and e&, aims to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, circular, and inclusive economy by integrating sustainability into operations, supply chains, and technology solutions.
Driving Responsible Growth Through Collaboration
Operating in 38 countries across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, e& continues to strengthen its role as a sustainability leader by embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles across its business model. The company’s Project Life initiative underpins its Responsible Sourcing Strategy and aligns with its 2030 sustainability vision — a framework that prioritizes responsible partnerships and long-term value creation.
NEC, which shares similar sustainability commitments, integrates eco-friendly practices across its global operations and supply chain. The collaboration brings together NEC’s technological expertise with e&’s digital leadership to advance initiatives that promote energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and renewable integration.
Under the MoU, the companies will jointly pursue:
- Development of low-carbon and energy-efficient solutions
- Expansion of circular economy practices
- Deployment of renewable and optimized resource systems
- Implementation of transparent ESG governance mechanisms
These initiatives aim to reduce environmental impact, enhance operational transparency, and foster inclusive digital progress.
