Nepal Telecom (NTC) has announced that it will upgrade its customer call center numbers—197, 198, and 1498—to enhance service quality and improve customer support. The company issued an official notice stating that the upgrade works will take place on Mangsir 10, 2082, and may cause a brief service disruption.
According to NTC, customer services linked to the three hotline numbers will be unavailable for approximately one hour, from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The telecom operator deliberately scheduled the maintenance during late-night hours to minimize impact on users, as very few customers typically make calls at that time.
NTC encouraged customers with urgent inquiries related to NT Fiber or mobile services to contact the call center before the upgrade window begins. The company also apologized for any inconvenience the temporary outage may cause.
The brief interruption is part of NTC’s broader efforts to modernize its customer service operations and ensure more efficient, responsive assistance for subscribers across Nepal.
