Alstom, a global leader in green and smart mobility solutions, has inaugurated its regional headquarters in Riyadh, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility and railway development in Saudi Arabia. This strategic move builds on Alstom’s 70-year legacy in the region.
Key Highlights:
- Strategic Location: The new headquarters in Riyadh aims to enhance Alstom’s operations across the Gulf region, fostering growth, improving project oversight, and optimizing railway maintenance.
- Leadership: Mohamed Khalil, who has led Alstom’s business in Saudi Arabia since 2022, is now the managing director of the regional headquarters.
- Innovation Hub: The office is located in the King Abdullah Financial District and will serve as a center for Middle East operations, staffed by rail mobility engineers and data scientists to drive innovation and digital services.
Services Digital Center:
The Riyadh office also marks the establishment of the Services Digital Center, which is a core part of Alstom’s strategy to advance condition-based and predictive maintenance for railway assets. HealthHub, Alstom’s web-based platform for predictive maintenance, will optimize maintenance operations, reduce downtime, and ensure high availability and reliability of railway services globally.
Inauguration Ceremony:
The inauguration was marked by the visit of Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Chief Executive of KAFD Gautam Sashittal.
Strategic Partnership:
The partnership between Saudi Arabia and France is pivotal as both countries work towards their economic plans — Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and France’s 2030 plan — under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and President Emmanuel Macron, respectively.
