Gulf Bank has introduced its new “WAMD” service, allowing customers to transfer money using just a phone number through the bank’s mobile app. Designed for ease, speed, and security, the service enables instant payments by simply selecting the recipient’s mobile number and specifying the transfer amount.
The “WAMD” payment system, implemented by the Shared Electronic Banking Services Company (KNET) under the supervision of the Central Bank of Kuwait, offers a quick and straightforward way to transfer funds.
Mr. Bader Al-Ali, Gulf Bank’s Deputy General Manager of Consumer Banking, highlighted that the “WAMD” service provides customers with a new, convenient method for transferring money through the bank’s mobile app, which features a wide range of industry-leading payment and transfer options.
Al-Ali also emphasized that the Gulf Bank mobile app represents a significant step forward in the bank’s digital transformation journey, making banking more convenient and accessible through a simple, fast, and secure interface.
