Kuwait Ministry of Finance Partners with Microsoft for Digital Transformation and AI Integration

Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft on Sunday to focus on advancing digital transformation, enhancing financial systems, and integrating artificial intelligence (AI). The agreement was signed in Seattle, US, by Kuwait’s Finance Undersecretary Aseel Al-Menifi and Microsoft’s Vice President for Public Sector Angela Heise.

The memorandum outlines a timeline for upgrading the Ministry’s financial systems and services, with an emphasis on leveraging global technologies, particularly AI and cloud services, to drive digital transformation. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s broader efforts to improve financial systems, integrate government bodies, and enhance public services.

Microsoft has committed to providing technical support throughout the collaboration, with both parties agreeing to hold joint workshops. These workshops will bring together experts from both the Ministry and Microsoft to create detailed collaboration plans, outlining the required actions, expertise, and technical resources to achieve the Ministry’s objectives.

Additionally, Al-Menifi met with Microsoft’s Director of Business Strategies for the Government Sector, Kirk Arthur, who shared insights into Microsoft’s global strategies for government partnerships.
