Dubai — GITEX Global, the world’s largest technology and AI exhibition, will undergo a major transformation in 2026, rebranding as TechCation — an all-new fusion of innovation, business, and lifestyle experiences. The event’s next edition will take place at Expo City Dubai from December 7–11, 2026, marking a new era for Dubai’s flagship tech showcase after 45 years of success.

The move from Dubai World Trade Centre to Expo City represents a strategic shift, aligning the event with Dubai’s peak tourism season and the city’s growing role as a global destination for technology and culture. Organizers said the change aims to create an immersive experience that combines global tech leadership with Dubai’s unique hospitality and lifestyle offerings.

TechCation 2026 will transform Dubai into a live, connected hub of innovation, with activities and experiences spread across the city. Collaborations with the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism and key partners from hospitality, wellness, eco-tourism, and lifestyle sectors will offer participants curated “staycation” and experience programs designed to blend business and leisure.

The reimagined event supports Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, which envisions the city as one of the world’s top three global hubs by 2033. It reinforces Dubai’s ambition to attract global investors, tech leaders, and digital nomads to live and work in an environment defined by innovation, connectivity, and world-class infrastructure.

GITEX 5.0: A New Chapter for Global Tech

The 2026 edition, branded GITEX 5.0, symbolizes the next decade of frontier technological growth. The Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City — currently undergoing a $2.7 billion expansion — will become the largest purpose-built indoor venue in the region, setting the stage for the next phase of GITEX’s global influence.

The show will open on December 7 with the GITEX Scale Summit, a high-level leadership forum exploring the trends and policy frameworks shaping global AI economies. From December 8–11, TechCation 2026 will showcase breakthrough innovations across AI x 5.0 industries, spanning quantum computing, biosciences, and advanced manufacturing.
