Orange Deploys Digital Services to Power AFCON Morocco 2025 Fan Experience

Orange has announced the deployment of its digital and connectivity solutions in support of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) TotalEnergies 2025, set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The initiative aims to demonstrate how advanced digital infrastructure is reshaping the modern sports and fan engagement experience across Africa.

Yasser Shaker, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Middle East and Africa, said the partnership with the Confederation of African Football reflects Orange’s long-standing commitment to African sport. He highlighted football as a unifying force across the continent and noted that Orange will bring its digital vision to life through its Max it platform, offering fans an integrated and interactive tournament experience.

As part of the deployment, Orange will introduce a range of fan-focused digital tools, including a dedicated platform providing real-time access to match highlights, statistics, interviews, and key moments. The group will also roll out AI-powered services, including a multilingual conversational assistant designed to respond instantly to fan queries and enhance accessibility for diverse audiences.

In addition to digital platforms, Orange plans to establish connected fan zones in several African countries. These zones will feature large screens and enhanced connectivity, enabling fans, including those in underserved areas, to experience AFCON 2025 in shared, immersive environments. Orange said the initiative aligns with its broader strategy to expand access to digital services and strengthen its role in major continental events.
