Pakistan’s largest telecom and ICT service provider, PTCL Group (comprising PTCL and Ufone 4G), in collaboration with Pink Collar—the country’s pioneering women-centric executive job placement platform—successfully hosted the Pink Collar Women Career Fair in Lahore. The event, led by Zara Sika Ali, a successful entrepreneur and recruiter, aimed to bridge the persistent gaps between talent and opportunities for Pakistani women, marking a significant milestone in fostering inclusivity and inspiring women to contribute to the growing digital economy of Pakistan.

Leading organizations from various sectors participated in the career fair, offering women a unique chance to explore job opportunities, gain valuable insights into career growth, and connect with top private sector companies. The event underscored the shared vision of PTCL Group and Pink Collar to empower women by fostering financial independence and professional development.

At the fair, PTCL Group’s flagship women empowerment initiative, ‘Dil Se Ba-Ikhtiar,’ was prominently showcased. This initiative equips women entrepreneurs with digital resources and upskilling opportunities to establish and grow their online businesses. Women entrepreneurs trained under Ba-Ikhtiar exhibited their products at the fair, inspiring other women to follow suit and reach their full potential, contributing meaningfully to society.

Syed Atif Raza, Group Chief Commercial Officer of PTCL & Ufone 4G, delivered a keynote address at the event, emphasizing the crucial role of women in the workforce. He stated, “Empowering women is not just a moral imperative but a strategic necessity for our economy and society. PTCL Group is committed to overcoming barriers to financial inclusion and social mobility for women. Our collaborations with PPAF for Ba-Ikhtiar and our partnership with Pink Collar for Pakistan’s first women job fair reflect this commitment.”

In addition, Pink Collar launched Pakistan’s first exclusive online job portal for women, providing access to a wide range of career opportunities. The portal aims to break down barriers and create a more inclusive job market where women can thrive.

Zara Sika Ali, CEO of Pink Collar, remarked, “Pink Collar is Pakistan’s first platform focused on recruitment, training, and career development for women, including those with disabilities. We are dedicated to empowering women to lead with confidence. We believe our new online portal will drive meaningful change and promote equity across all sectors.”
