In a significant move to bolster international cooperation in cybersecurity, Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has inked four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Qatar, Romania, Spain, and Kuwait. These landmark agreements were signed during the third edition of the Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF), held in Riyadh under the theme “Charting Shared Priorities in Cyberspace,” as reported by SPA.
The MoUs solidify partnerships between Saudi NCA and key national cybersecurity bodies, including Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Romania’s National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), and Kuwait’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).
The 2023 Global Cybersecurity Forum, which concluded on Thursday, witnessed extensive global participation with 150 high-level speakers and attendees from 120 countries. Over the course of the two-day event, the GCF provided a vital platform for discussions on strategic cyber orientations and critical international issues.
Participants from across the globe engaged in dialogues aimed at fostering cooperation and unified efforts in cybersecurity. They also explored ways to maximize opportunities, share knowledge, and enhance human and technical capabilities within the cybersecurity sector.
The forum featured 35 in-depth discussion sessions, attracting decision-makers, CEOs, and senior officials from both the public and private sectors, representing local and international interests.
