Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of global technology company Tencent, has partnered with TruKKer, a technology-enabled logistics and transportation company serving businesses across the EMEA region, to accelerate the digital freight company’s adoption of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.
Under the partnership, TruKKer, described as the MENA region’s largest digital freight network, will migrate its platform to Tencent Cloud’s Saudi Arabia region and adopt CodeBuddy, Tencent’s AI-powered coding assistant, as part of a broader initiative to transform its DevOps practices and operations.
The agreement comes as Tencent Cloud prepares to participate in LEAP 2026 and represents another step in the company’s expansion across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
The partnership comes amid accelerating AI adoption in Saudi Arabia. According to the announcement, 45.2 percent of internet users in the Kingdom have adopted AI tools, while 33.1 percent of Saudi companies now use AI technologies, representing a 20 percent year-on-year increase. The country’s cloud computing market is valued at approximately $5.5 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $11.47 billion by 2031.
Tencent also highlighted the growing availability of its AI technologies in the region. In August, the company announced international access to Tencent Hy3, its latest model based on a hybrid fast- and slow-thinking Mixture-of-Experts architecture. The model is available through global developer platforms and open-source communities under the Apache 2.0 license.
Hy3 is designed to provide advanced reasoning and agent capabilities for enterprise workloads. Since its global rollout, Tencent said the model has recorded more than 68 times the API calls of its previous-generation model.
Businesses and developers can access Hy3 through WorkBuddy, Tencent’s AI agent workspace, Tencent Design Miora, an AI-native creative studio, and Tencent Cloud TokenHub, a Model-as-a-Service platform providing access to multiple third-party large language models.
The TruKKer partnership builds on Tencent Cloud’s investment in Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure. In 2025, the company announced its first Middle East Cloud Region in Saudi Arabia, comprising two availability zones and supported by a commitment of more than $150 million in infrastructure, resources and investment.
Earlier this year, Tencent Cloud also obtained a Class C license in Saudi Arabia, described as the highest certification tier granted to cloud service providers by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission.
Globally, Tencent Cloud operates 68 availability zones across 24 regions, supported by more than 3,200 acceleration nodes. The company said the Middle East is among its fastest-growing regions.
Rachel Xie, General Manager of Tencent Cloud Middle East and General Manager of Operations, Channel Development and Marketing of Tencent Cloud International, said the company remained committed to supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation through its local cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities.
Pradeep Mallavarapu, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of TruKKer Middle East, said migrating to Tencent Cloud’s local Saudi infrastructure would support the company’s need for truck availability, real-time visibility and competitive pricing at scale.
He added that adopting AI-powered tools would allow TruKKer’s teams to focus more on delivering value to customers and carriers while strengthening the company’s technology operations.
