Qatari Investors Group (QIG) has entered a partnership with global technology firm SAP SE to leverage the benefits of SAP’s cloud ERP solution, with secure data hosting in Qatar.
Under this partnership, QIG will transition its critical business processes from legacy on-premises ERP software to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution offering comprehensive visibility and control over operations. This move will be expedited through the adoption of RISE with SAP, a subscription service providing regular updates to enhance QIG’s resilience and agility in the rapidly evolving global market.
Creating a Roadmap Joseph Abdo, CEO of QIG, elaborated: “QIG collaborated closely with SAP to create a roadmap aligned with Qatar’s digital transformation agenda and the National Vision 2030. We sought real-time data and insights to respond swiftly to market changes while delivering greater value to our customers. With RISE with SAP Cloud, we can transition to the cloud without business risk, benefiting from automated processes that allow us to focus on innovation and growth. Immediate benefits include streamlined operations and increased efficiencies, setting us up for long-term success with automatic upgrades to new technologies and a scalable, flexible digital infrastructure.”

QIG’s subsidiaries and business interests span building and construction materials and services, technology, marine services, property, project development, contracting, and financial services, including its flagship project, Al Khalij Cement Company.
Alaa Jaber, Managing Director for SAP in Qatar and Fast Growth Markets, stated: “In a highly competitive market, QIG is recognized for its forward-thinking and effective management. This digital transformation exemplifies this approach. RISE with SAP enables customers to adapt to fast-changing conditions, from evolving AI applications to cybersecurity threats.
