Beyon has partnered with LigaData, a data analytics and cloud firm based in Silicon Valley, to develop a state-of-the-art Data Lakehouse. This centralized data repository aims to future-proof Beyon’s data infrastructure and leverage the advantages of advanced cloud technologies.

The partnership agreement was signed by Beyon’s Chief Technology Officer Saurabh Gupta and LigaData’s CEO Bassel Ojjeh at Beyon’s headquarters in Hamala, Bahrain. The signing event was also attended by Beyon CEO Mikkel Vinter, Batelco CTO Rashed Mohamed, LigaData COO Khaled Jaouni, and other senior executives from both companies.

Integration of Structured and Unstructured Data

Powered by LigaData, the Data Lakehouse will integrate structured and unstructured data from various sources across Beyon into a single platform, providing a comprehensive view of the business. This hybrid technology combines the flexibility of a data lake with the structured approach of a data warehouse, enabling faster development of data and AI applications while improving data governance. LigaData will also create AI-powered applications focused on key business use cases to help Beyon deliver personalized services to its customers.

“We are delighted to partner with LigaData and elevate our data infrastructure to new levels of efficiency and reliability. We chose LigaData for their cloud-native capabilities, proven Data Fabric product, and high-quality enterprise support,” said Saurabh Gupta. “This future-proof product will ensure scalability and adaptability to meet our evolving data needs. The cloud-native service will support Beyon’s Data and AI plans by enhancing agility and innovation across our group of companies.”

Enhanced Services and Insights

Gupta added that the insights generated from the Data Lakehouse platform will enable Beyon to develop enhanced and relevant services for its customers based on their preferences.

Bassel Ojjeh, CEO of LigaData, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with Beyon on this transformative journey. The comprehensive view provided by the Lakehouse platform will help Beyon extract valuable insights about their customers’ behavior, preferences, and needs.”

Ojjeh concluded, “Our Lakehouse Hybrid Cloud will not only enhance Beyon’s data capabilities but also drive innovation and operational excellence across their diverse group of operating companies.”
