As part of its ongoing efforts to contribute to the Kingdom’s digital transformation and provide top-quality services, Orange Jordan has announced the launch of a new digital self-registration service using the “Electronic Know Your Customer” (EKYC) system. This innovative service, a first in the Kingdom, was introduced after receiving the necessary license from the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC).

The EKYC service allows customers to seamlessly and securely subscribe and authenticate prepaid mobile lines using approved identity documents or through the “SANAD” application, Jordan’s official gateway to digital government services and digital identity. Subscribers can verify their identity and complete the activation process remotely, eliminating the need for physical visits to shops or points of sale. Orange Jordan has already started implementing this service at multiple points of sale.

Aligning with its position as the Responsible Digital Leader, Orange Jordan’s new service enables secure and efficient online transactions and authentication processes from anywhere, at any time. The company takes pride in being the first telecom operator in the Kingdom to launch such a revolutionary service, which utilizes cutting-edge technologies like digital signatures and encrypted platforms to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of verified documents.

Orange Jordan emphasized that this service results from collaborative efforts with governmental institutions and private sector companies, aiming to develop the best solutions to meet customer needs and enhance the overall digital landscape in the Kingdom.
