PLDT Global Corp., the international arm of PLDT Inc., has entered into a strategic partnership with stc Pay Bahrain, a leading mobile wallet in the Middle East. The collaboration aims to improve digital financial services for Filipinos in Bahrain by offering convenient and innovative solutions.
Through the partnership, stc Pay Bahrain will integrate PLDT Global’s digital vouchers, electronic gifts, bills payment services, and subscription PINs into its platform, ensuring seamless transactions for users. Customers will be able to top up mobile credits, pay postpaid bills, settle Philippine utility bills, and access government and insurance services through the stc Pay app.
Albert Villa-Real, PLDT Global president and CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering Filipinos in the Middle East by providing reliable services that enhance their overall experience. Khalid Alosaimi, chairman of stc Pay Bahrain, highlighted that the partnership would expand their international presence and offer a wider range of digital payment solutions to their growing subscriber base.
This collaboration is a key milestone in expanding PLDT Global’s digital reach in Bahrain, where a large Filipino community resides. It also strengthens the relationship between PLDT Global and stc Group, utilizing artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance connectivity and financial transactions.
