In a significant move towards enhancing digital banking, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) and NBO Muzn Islamic Bank, in collaboration with Samsung Gulf Electronics, have launched the Samsung Wallet. This innovative payment platform is designed to offer NBO and Muzn customers a secure and seamless way to conduct mobile payments. Starting from April 28, 2024, users can activate their Samsung Wallet through the Samsung Pay app, allowing them to add their debit, credit, and prepaid cards and perform encrypted transactions both locally and globally.

The Samsung Wallet leverages advanced hardware and Samsung’s Knox-based security technology to ensure the safe storage of card details and enable easy authentication of payments through facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, or PINs. The wallet is set to expand its functionality to include storage and access to essential documents, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to broadening its services through strategic partnerships.

Customers can access the service by downloading the Samsung Wallet app from the Samsung Galaxy Store, setting up a Samsung account, and following simple steps to add their payment cards. This partnership highlights NBO’s ongoing commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve customer service and satisfaction, providing a user-friendly solution for secure and convenient digital transactions.
