In a significant technological uptake, Bangladesh reported reaching 131 million internet subscribers by December 2023, including nearly 7 million new users within the last year. Data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) reveals that out of these, 118.49 million are mobile internet users while 12.88 million utilize broadband services. Additionally, the total number of mobile subscribers surged to 190.81 million, buoyed by 10.61 million new users in 2023. The country hosts four operational mobile companies, with Grameen Phone leading at 82.20 million subscribers, followed by Robi Axiata, Banglalink Digital Communications, and Teletalk Bangladesh.
