In the first quarter of 2024, 200 Emiratis were trained in app development as part of the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Launched to enhance the UAE’s digital capabilities, the initiative aims to train 1,000 Emiratis and triple the number of app developers in Dubai by 2025.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, inaugurated the program at the end of last year.
Additionally, a significant milestone was achieved in Q1 with 1,100 participants in the ‘App Olympics’ competition, launched in February as part of the initiative.
