Stc Bahrain was recognized as the “Talent Development Strategic Partner” at the Huawei Bahrain 2024 ICT Talent Achievement Closing Ceremony held at the University of Bahrain’s eLearning Center. The event celebrated key contributors to Bahrain’s ICT sector and highlighted efforts to develop local talent in support of the Kingdom’s growing digital economy and Economic Vision 2030.
Through initiatives such as the Jeel ICT Program, stc Bahrain has been instrumental in equipping young Bahrainis with practical skills aligned with industry needs, fostering youth empowerment and technological advancement. The company has attracted over USD $130 million in IT investments and is contributing to a projected 35% growth in IT employment by 2027.
Eng. Khalid Al Osaimi, CEO of stc Bahrain, emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in youth as essential to building a sustainable and innovative future, preparing Bahrain’s young generation to lead the digital transformation and position the Kingdom as a regional ICT hub.
The ceremony gathered government officials, industry leaders, and academia to celebrate ICT education achievements and strengthen collaboration. stc Bahrain’s recognition underscores its pivotal role in Bahrain’s digital economy and human capital development.
