Satec Group reaffirmed its commitment to Morocco’s digital transformation during a seminar organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Tangier on January 29, where the company showcased its new Training Center and Pearson VUE Certification Center in Tetouan.
The event, focused on cybersecurity and digitization, highlighted how Satec aims to support Morocco’s preparations for 2030 through skills development, technology integration, and cybersecurity readiness.
Najlae Elakel, Site Manager at Satec Global Service, explained that the group positions itself as a partner capable of designing, integrating, and operating complex technological environments for public institutions, financial entities, and private sector operators. Satec’s expertise spans networks and data centers, critical infrastructure integration, cybersecurity services, and risk management.
The Pearson VUE Training and Certification Center, located at the Tetouanshore Technology Park, serves as a regional IT service and outsourcing hub providing both on-site and remote support across Morocco, Spain, and Africa. The center focuses heavily on training local talent and enabling internationally recognized certifications aligned with global technology standards.
Mario Garrido, Director of Satec Global Services, noted that the group has operated in Morocco for nearly 20 years through Intelcom in Rabat and Casablanca and Satec Global Services in Tetouan. He emphasized the company’s goal of transferring knowledge and expertise to support Morocco’s digital and cybersecurity ambitions ahead of 2030.
Satec Group currently employs 220 people in Morocco out of its global workforce of 1,600 and continues to invest in local employment and training to build a highly qualified digital workforce.
Sergio Afonso, Director of Cybersecurity at Satec, stressed that digitalization is no longer optional for Morocco, adding that cybersecurity preparedness will be essential as the country accelerates its digital journey.
The event concluded with a roundtable discussion on cybersecurity and digitization challenges and a session highlighting training as a key pillar for developing digital talent.
