Dubai-based telecommunications company du, part of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), and global edge-to-cloud company Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have secured a significant deal with the Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), one of the UAE’s leading national banks.
CBD has chosen HPE GreenLake, a portfolio of cloud and as-a-service solutions, hosted in du’s Tier III-certified data centres, to advance its hybrid cloud strategy and enhance customer and team member experiences. This collaboration leverages HPE GreenLake’s capabilities along with du’s connectivity, hosting, and network security services.
By adopting HPE GreenLake as the foundation for its private cloud, complemented by du’s extensive network and security solutions, CBD aims to implement a five-year strategy to establish a more efficient and automated self-service IT operational model. This model will improve responsiveness, visibility, and control while reducing complexities and manual processes.
The HPE GreenLake platform offers a unified, automated control plane across both CBD’s private and public cloud environments. Key HPE products and services, such as HPE Services for migration and Zerto for VM migration and cyber resilience, support the solution.
Additionally, CBD employs HPE Aruba Networking’s intelligent edge solutions, including advanced Wi-Fi 6E and Network Access Control (NAC), to ensure secure and efficient connectivity across its IT infrastructure.
The hybrid cloud environment, enhanced by du’s data centre solutions and HPE managed services, enables CBD to bolster security, automate tasks, drive innovation, and develop AI-driven services to deliver exceptional customer experiences. It also safeguards sensitive financial information and customer data, ensuring compliance and protection.
This collaboration highlights CBD’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to meet evolving business needs and customer expectations.
