Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the 13th edition of the Bahrain National Robotics Competition concluded with a closing ceremony attended by notable dignitaries. Organized by the Ministry of Education and Britus Education, this year’s competition themed ‘Allies of the Earth’ drew 354 students from 118 teams, reflecting a significant increase from the previous year. The event, part of Bahrain’s commitment to fostering young talent in STEM, focused on promoting environmental stewardship through robotics.
Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Education Minister, praised the event for its role in nurturing Bahraini youth and highlighted the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Fatima Ahmed Kamal, CEO of Britus Education, commended the competition’s impact on teaching participants valuable skills such as creative thinking and problem-solving while focusing on environmental sustainability.
The competition celebrated winners across various categories including Future Innovators, ROBOMISSION, and ROBOSPORT, showcasing the talents of students from multiple educational stages. This initiative not only highlights Bahrain’s dedication to technological education but also its aim to integrate such advancements into broader societal goals.
